Mizoram is one gorgeous state in the northeast of India, dotted with mighty mountains, beautiful lakes and rivers, and a lot of green space. The state also shares borders with three other northeastern Indian states, Assam, Manipur and Tripura along with sharing borders with two neighbouring countries, namely Bangladesh and Myanmar. Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram, is perfectly hidden under clouds and forests, and the serenity that surrounds the place can’t be compared to any other hill stations in the whole of the country. Still, the city sees few tourists and probably, it is also one of the most underrated destinations in India. Well, this ‘must’ be one of the prime reasons why you must visit Mizoram this summer, because the place wouldn’t be crowded or overcrowded (for that matter) with unnecessary tourists, like the rest of the hill stations across the country. Aizawl: The capital of the state, Aizawl is home to some Solomon's Temple, Mizoram State Museum and for shopping, there is Burra Bazaar. Tamdil Lake, around 85 km from the city near the Saitual village, is another major tourist draw, where people can enjoy boating and fishing. From the Durtlang Hills, one can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city and it is also an ideal region for ardent trekkers and hikers.
